Wow, did not about this thread and it's been a revelation.

This is me:

https://www.instagram.com/watcheswithfizz/

I am fairly new to the gram and exclusively post photos of my watches (or one's I see in person that I like).

I've followed so many of you now. Us vintage folks really need to stick together.

Yup, would tend to agree. It's brought the focus (or rather spotlight) on a very, very few niche watches from about 3 niche brands (AP, PP,. Rolex). What looks good on Insta (and not necessarily on the wrist or even in person) sells. So stuff that isn't Instagram photogenic is less wanted. You would think this would pave the way for those of us with niche likes e.g. vintage Movado or UG to find what we are looking for, but the new trend is "DM for price", which basically kills any transparency when it comes to price watching either. It's become a game of "pay to play" now....

The reason I stick around is, despite all its perceived negatives, you can still find a few good people who aren't playing this game and are willing to connect and trade/buy/sell or just talk without necessarily treating watches as stocks.

Hi there I'm at https://www.instagram.com/love4watches_PT been sharing my small collection and it's updates/changes for a couple of years now. Also sometimes I post comments of watch news and new releases. My stories are a mix of funny stuff, mostly watch related and real life stuff, like watch event I sometimes attend.
