Slightly? off subject but not. I just can’t agree with the latest advice/tip being given by the omega_enthusiast in his latest post.
I know he gets mixed reviews on here but generally I think his stuff is good especially for newbies to vintage Omega.
Now I’m sure there are many on here that are watchmen and service their own/clients watches so I’d be interested to hear their thoughts on his method of quick setting a non quick set date Seamaster Calendar by quickly advancing to and fro the minute hand past 12
Totally goes against the grain for me this, I’ve always set and wound my watches clockwise as I was advised to do so

That's fine...it's the way it's done actually...

It doesn't work with all watch movement (Rolex Cal. 1575 I'm looking at you!) but it won't hurt anything.

Hmmm just doesn’t feel right to me but I guess old habits die hard. Think I’d rather spend the time carefully winding it forward, I’d never be in that much of a rush and I’ve had a 504 before where I did exactly that 😀
