I think that's the only chrono movement that model used.
Yeah that’s the impression I’m getting I just couldn’t seem to get definite answers. The dude I ran into selling it is selling it because he found out it needs a service as it’s time keeping is very poor but like I said he isn’t a watch guy just picked it up through family. They really are sharp looking watches, unique I should say.

I wouldn't get spooked over that type movement. Despite the rumors, they don't cost more to get serviced by Omega or a competent watch maker.

Not just rumours, there can be genuine issues with the compound models too. I had a Dynamic chrono with an issue which visited 3 watchmakers before the chrono module was fixed (swapped in fact). If you are prepared to pay Omega servicing costs then there are no issues at all but independent options are rather more limited than with stand alone chronos.

Got one about 7 years ago as part of a combined deal, NOS in its unusual original box, saving it for later ;-)

If you can get it for a tasty price then hand it over to me when we get coffee and I will sneak it in with a couple watches I plan to get serviced by Julio (I know you love that song) so you get it serviced up properly and for the wholesale price 👍

I’ll actually see if he still has it but when I say good price I mean a few hundred under what they are going for but he might go lower as I we talked about the cost of getting them serviced. I am not buying it so if it would work out for you that’s fine. I’ll know next week if he still has it

Sorry for a minute there I forgot I'm not in the Philippines anymore. Guess I'm gonna have to pay USA numbers for watches from now on with the exception of those packages I get sent by our Cebu City crew 😁

Oh by the way you missed out on some serious watch treasure hunting in your neck of the woods today. I ended up spending $17 total for 6 watches. 4 out of 6 of them run, but sadly the bunch of them are probably only worth $10. Was fun driving around though. I did manage to get lost in Waterbury but that always happens when I go there. The highlight of the trip was eating a subway sangwich in Naugatuck across the street from the Big Y. That's where I called you from. 😁

Alan do you regret getting the Dynamic instead of just getting an Alpinist? Does the reason you sold your Speedmaster come into this?
Is the real answer here that you need a Railmaster 57?
The Speedmaster went because unfortunately I had bills to pay.

I’m not regretting getting the Dynamic. I’m still looking at the Alpinist, and will have to try one on, but I will probably pass on it in the end. I also have a first generation Dynamic away for service atm.

I’ve also been looking at the blue dial railmaster, which is on sale at one of my local AD’s. Again, I’d have to try it on first, but keep making excuses not to go and look at it, because I’d probably buy it and then have to explain to SWMBO where it came from.

Well, it looks like a bracelet Is out of the question for now, as they’re just too expensive! However, I have just ordered a Toshi strap to go on it.

An Uncle Seiko 1171 would work quite well IMO and are priced pretty reasonably. The 19mm version of course. The end links might need some fettling to fit tho.

Cheers. I’ll have a look at that.

Well.....My new @toshistraps strap has arrived!

It looked a bit thick when it came out of the packet. But once it’s on the watch it slims down and fits very nicely. Up to now it’s very comfortable to wear.

I think that watch needs a bold strap so a good choice IMO. 👍
