Glad I don't need a DON bezel. It wasn't that long ago you got a nice 145.012-67 with a decent DON for that money.

You were lucky, I don't think anybody anticipated the skyrocketing prices.

 

So, does anyone know what caused the sudden skyrocket in price for DON bezels? I know supply and demand, but even that cant justify these sort of increases

 

More collectors jumping in with the ride of vintage watches. Easy to source watch, and the DON is easy to spot plus something often replaced at a service. It's only a mater of time for 69 and newer bezels to start jumping. They are already starting... lots of 145.022-xx watches need them and good ones are only now starting to come to market as demand rises. Not that I don't love love the patina on my -76 but a perfect one would increase my watches resale far above the cost to source one. ( hmm off to eBay!)
