I am selling this very pretty Omega De Ville Prestige, reference 145.0050, with the iconic caliber 861. This is a watch I don't see mentioned often and it's a pity, because to me it's the Speedmaster for the opera house. I've had this watch for 6/7 months and it's a joy to wear: simple, small, elegant, and the black dial goes well with basically everything. Selling it because I have too many watches and want to make room for other pieces. Included is an after market grey nubuck leather strap with an after market buckle, sized at 130/80mm. No box or papers, just the watch. Feedback I am new to watch collecting and I haven't sold anything in this forum or any other forums. However, I've been a relatively active member since September 2023, have introduced myself, and have bought a couple of things. I can provide any form of identification that suits you: ID, LinkedIn profile, Facebook, etc. Condition The following is me doing my best to describe what I see with the watch in hand, looking at the close up photos, and inspecting it under a 12x loupe. I'll cover any defect I can see, but please also inspect the photos yourself and let me know if you have any questions. Dial and dial hardware are in very good condition. It's really hard to notice any defect under the naked eye. Using a macro lens with raking light, the hour markers reveal some patina and the hands some spotting, especially the chronograph minute hand. As these are high polish, under direct light it's hard to notice anything even with macro. Keep in mind, these are extreme close ups and the chronograph hands are only a few mm in length. Sapphire crystal is clean. On the photos there is a mark under the Omega logo, but it's just lint. I noticed it only after I had taken the photos. Case has scratches and marks from use. I can't notice anything major that would make the case unattractive. A good clean in the ultrasonic would definitely help though. Seeing the general condition of the case and sharp edges, I don't think it has even been polished. Crown and pushers I believe are original to the watch. The case back has a couple of idiot marks. This is a snap on case back, so probably someone tried to open it with a butter knife. They're lightly visible to the naked eye, but nothing too bad. Movement looks clean. This is the 18 jewels variant of the cal. 861. It keeps decent time and the chronograph functions work as expected. Testing it with a timegrapher app on an Android device, it shows -34 s/d with 0.3ms beat error on dial up, and -39 s/d with 0.4ms beat error on dial down, while wound up less than half. I doubt those are terribly accurate, but at least may show a general trend. Service history is unknown and it hasn't been serviced while in my possession. Finally, this is how it looks on my 19cm wrist.
Reduced to €1,500 and that will be my final price. Anything lower and I'd rather keep it. Also adding some macro shots of the cal. 861 movement for fun.
I'll eat my words and go crazy. Reduced to €1,400. This is a classy watch and in a quite nice condition. I don't think you'll find a better price.
