Omega Dark Side of the Moon

Hi All, I’m new to the forum and have a question regarding a new watch I recently received. I received an Omega Dark Side of the Moon factory watch. I know these watches don’t have a serial number and aren’t further inspected by Omega. I attached 2 photos of the watch and you’ll see on the right sub-dial that both hands aren’t pointing to “12”. Based on what I’ve seen online, they should be. Is this because it’s a factory watch? Is this something that can be repaired?

What do you mean "a factory watch"??? The serial # is right there on a lug on the back. Bottom left of your last photo.

Are you saying when you press the reset the hands to not both return to 12? That would be a problem. Did you buy this new? If it's under warranty Omega should address.

Yeah when I press the reset only 1 hand returns to 12.

Isnt the balance wheel on these supposed to be made from Si14 Silicon? The one in the pictures looks like a standard metal one.
Also the date number looks almost dark gray in font not white like it's supposed to be. The sub dials look off as well.

Ive never heard of a "factory watch". is there a box and papers a long with it?

The date number and dials are white, just bad lighting in the photos. I don’t have a box or papers for it though. The watch seems genuine, but not sure why the sub dial on the right side is off

You say you got the watch from your brother. Simply ask him to send it to the AD or OB where he got it. They should have a record of his purchase so you can send it in under warranty to fix it.

Ya the balance should be black. This looks odd to me.

additionally, it looks like the serial number on the movement is identical to the movement on the Dark Side of the Moon product page, near the middle where they talk about the 9300 Caliber

Do you happen to know when or where your brother bought the watch?

It's possible early versions of the 9300 didn't come with a Si14 balance like early versions of the 8500. Saying that the DSOTM came out in 2013 so it should probably have it.

its possible, all reviews ive found and information ive found show it having the Si14 from the start, so it is odd that it wouldn't.
its also odd that the serial on the movement is identical to the one of the website product page.

ETA the Serial on the lug doesnt match the serial on the movement.

Also a "Omega Dark Side of the Moon factory watch" rings some alarm bells too, lol.

Good catch. Almost looks like the movement is photoshopped onto the case...

This looks a bit odd compared to images online.

Comparing it to a 9300 movement in the flesh: the proportions of that wheel and the adjacent hole are definitely off.

A number of the jewels on the left hand side of the original image are also missing a metal pin through them……

The kids back in the workshop are making the adjustments based on the feedback. LOL
