Omega Constellation - redial or optical illusion?

Hi all,

I came across this Connie, but it is hard to tell if redial or not. While the font and size of letters seems fine, they seem to be slightly off-centered (to the right).
I notice there is also the shadow of the OMEGA signature that makes it look stretched to the left, but not sure if that is the reason or it is indeed off-centered.

Many thanks!

The pics aren’t really good enough to say with all certainty- but it looks both right and wrong.

Right that the fonts look correct.
Wrong that they are too far to the right.

Without better pics can’t be sure but looks like a genuine printing error.
But I’m guessing this could only happen:
a) with a dodgy printing ‘pad’
Or
b) if the text and minute haches were printed separately.

The dial looks small compared to the case.

Another pic - worse quality, but different angle so it doesn't have the shadow as the other ones.
Here it looks somehow more centralised. But will probably ask the seller for a proper photo.

Are the upper lugs wider than the lower ones? Maybe one lug is bent.

These are 19mm lug spacing.
I suspect the bracelet is 18mm and the lower one is at an odd angle making it look wider.

on the other hand: the lume-plots look fine....

This reference is the ‘legendary’ ( well I like it anyway....) Constellation with both onyx and lume plots.

It even has an index at 3 to make @hoipolloi happy.

These Constellation stars often rotate, I think I remember @kaplan mentioning that the stars are not stuck to the dial but instead held in place with friction and as such can be rotated back into place by a watchmaker.

It is however a correct dial to go in that case.
I see it now. Omega used same movements (561/564) for different case sizes, when the case was getting bigger, the date ring was the same. That's why there is room to put the small marker in there, they did not do that on a dome 168.005

I think it's perfect - the gap under the crystal could be because of loose case screws or maybe incorrect crystal or ring

Nice snowflake patina
