OMEGA CONSTELLATION QUARTZ question

Hi everyone. I got this Omega Constellation quartz watch bought in 1980. I started wearing it again after many years. It works but the button on the side that must be pressed to adjust the time doesn't work. Any advice on what to do?

Attached are photos of the watch including a pic of the silver button in question.

If anyone has a guess on the value of the watch, please provide. Thank you!

Welcome!

On the right hand side is the crown. If you pull out the crown, you should be able to turn it to adjust the time.

What happens when you pull out the crown and turn it?

When I pull out the crown, the hour hand moves, clicks from hour to hour. The only way to adjust the minute hand is to push the button, hold it for a few second, then release and push again, and the minute hand will move. This is the way this Omega watch was made. But probably because its been sitting in the safe for decades, depressing the button doesn't make it move.

Can you pull out the crown to a second or third position? If so, can you turn the crown to set the minutes or date in those positions?

You might have the 1337 movement, try this:

Yes, thats the movement in my watch....the problem is when I press that recessed button, the minute hand doesn't move....its stuck. So what to do? Any easy solutions or do I have to bring to watchmaker to fix? Thank you so much for your time.

If you hold the button, the seconds hand should stop. If you press the button quickly, the seconds hand should advance by an additional second. Are these functions also not working? If so, does it seem like the button is stuck and not pressing down?

Thank you.....in that link, there was this comment...."Update: Short circuiting across the oval strip causes the seconds to stop. So you can wait until real time and let go." How does one short circuit that oval strip?

That's under the caseback, are you able to get the back off? Once you have access, you would use a coin or paperclip or similar.
