Hello everyone. I'm a noob when it comes to vintage Omegas. I am interested in this watch but i noticed it has "-" on either side of the swiss made at the bottom of the dial. Does this mean its a redial?

Afraid so. And the positioning of the Swiss Made, the overall font, small errors like the straight "n" in Constellation... It's also very much polished and while it's difficult to judge from this angle, I'm a slittle sceptical of the crown. Unless it's absurdly cheap I'd recommend a hard pass and some reading here before you hunt for a better example. 😀

Wow. This is one of the best pie-pan redials I've seen yet. I would love to know who did it, so I can send them some work. If they can fix a few issues as noted above, the rest of it is excellent.

True, it’s definitely on the good side of what we’ve seen here. The sunburst finish looks off, too, I‘m trying to put my finger on what it is exactly. But this if it didn’t have those weird lines surrounding Swiss Made and the correct style of Constellation writing, it’d already be a lot harder to spot.

I wouldn't bother with the rest of the details, the SWISS MADE screams redial here. Agreed the minute markers seem right (in pics) but I'm sure in person they wouldn't stand up to scrutiny too! I always defer to the rule that, if one detail is screaming fake/redial/polished - it most likely is.

Like it all you want, just don’t buy it
As it will take hit on value down the road.

Is it just me or do the minute markers appear to be different in length, and not really aligned? Especially if you look between 12 and 1
