Omega Constellation HoneyComb 1954

Hi there,
Looking to be educated here, whilst looking for my first vintage omega.
This one has a clean dial,

Omega Constellation, Pie Pan Honeycomb dial, Ref 2577 from 1954, but missing gold medallion and a fissure in the crystal. Is this easy to remedy? Is it worth the extra time and search? Price 1200 euros,

Looks like a redial to me. Give this one a wide berth for both that and the medallion.

ps it is deffo not a 2577, that ref is a Seamaster not a Connie

Ok, thanks, but for my education, what aspect of the dial, made you think it was a redial?

Several factors. The font style in Constellation doesn't look right to me and it seems to be missing the Swiss Made text under the 6 though that might I guess be there but hidden. The n's are just wrong IMO.

Take a look at other early 1950s examples of the Connie I think you will see what I mean.

The case is a 2577 case. That’s a Seamaster with a Constellation dial.

Before yesterday I would’ve said avoid and look for something else, but as we‘ve just learned this exact combination goes for 3.2k + 30% premium = north of 4k€…

Right you are, and the N on this is like the one above? but it would not interest me.
