Good morning Guys and Gals!
The weather is really lousy here in Sweden right now.
We have been hit by a storm, and they have named it Hans!!😁

So why not share a story??

The summer in Sweden has not been kind, mostly rain and strong winds,
so me and my wife decided to take a trip down to Sunny Greece!

And I also promised her NOT to do any auctions or anything that was related to spending watchmoney!

Well… that didn't work out!

A few weeks ago, this watch was up for an auction, and I kind of liked it.
And the humming thing is very charming.
The crystal was really scratched, so it was a bit hard to see the condition of the dial.
I started doing some research, and asked the seller for some more pictures.

But this was before we decided to do the our trip, so I kind of moved this watch away from my thoughts..

Anyway…
We had a late lunch by the beach, with a few Brewskis, and also some Ouzo (me - not my wife)!
The restaurant had decent wifi, and I stupidly checked in on the auction.
Seeing that it only had 10 minutes left, I wanted to follow the auction.

And like the gentleman I am, I told my wife that I had to to go and talk to the chef, to comment on the food etc…
So I sneaked away where I could order another beer and follow the auction.
And in the final seconds I couldn't help myself pressing the bid button, and won the bidding!

YIKES!!

I received the watch recently, and it felt really nice!
It is in a used condition, with some scratches and some dings.
The watch needs a new crystal,
because the previous owner tried to polish it with no success since it's a mineral crystal.
And a nice clean up, and also another strap.

So there you have my latest purchase, and this time my wife doesn't know about it!!
And had I not been at the restaurant, eating and DRINKING, this had never happened!

Cheers!
