@kaplan , I believe that the gap you asked just the “reflection of light”.

Do you still see the gap in this picture?
(If yes, please mark with the arrows)

In 2 other different pictures it's almost as if the dial is bent and there are gaps under the armor ring, but from this angle it's hard to see

Maybe the crystal has an issue or indeed it could be an unfortunate light reflection issue

Just bumping this thread after changing the strap to this flat end-link bracelet (reference 1035 with 630 end links).
Normally, 1035 bracelets are date-stamped between 1967 and 1971.

However, my research turned up at least three examples without a date stamp, including one from this forum.

I was curious to see whether this bracelet would work with the dog-leg lugs, as I could only find one watch with this combination.

In the end, I decided to give it a try. Please let me know your thoughts. Does it look better than the BOR bracelet?

The flat link should become a standard on all Omega models.

I don't want to put a Forestner on my Omega...

@Hal10000 . Nice duo, both are iconic pieces. 😀

@njlam . It would be great, though it might drive up the price of each piece quite a lot. 🤩

Rolex oysters are beautiful and iconic for a reason, but the flatlink is just as beautiful if not more so. And the comfort is unparalleled.

Arrowhead doglegs are really quite uncommon at the best of times - they are usually 14900s but we have seen 167.005s in the past.
It would be a very uncommon beast indeed for a dogleg to have a 21,03 m movt serial and an arrowhead dial - that would push it into 1964 territory - not sure we have ever seen one as late as that before.

Just had a quick look around - @qazwsx1 's arrowhead 167.005 has a 20,91xx serial - that might be a delta of over 940,000 movements but there could be a genuine 21,03m arrowhead dogleg out there - but it would definitely be a real outlier.

BTW - I agree with @Passover that the hands should be without black inserts for this dial and the minute hand should be shorter (like Teerapat's above)

I said in my comment above that Teerapat’s has a 20.09 serial.
I agree that it is likely to be a late 63 production.
But that is already pushing the bounds of an arrowhead dial.

This model is increasingly faked, and my spider senses are tingling. Those stars look suspect, and the case softness paired with lack of wear makes me suspicious. The dial also doesn’t feel quite right to me. Look at the position of the top of the star vs the first L in Constellation, compared with Teerapat’s. Hands are clearly incorrect as mentioned.

From which country did you source the watch?

I think the medallion is very likely not genuine - the arrangement is off and they appear to be raised in an odd way
