It’s making the exchange difficult. I feel uncomfortable having my friend carry a large sum of cash around. I may end up having to go to the city in person.

It’s making the exchange difficult. I feel uncomfortable having my friend carry a large sum of cash around. I may end up having to go to the city in person.
Otherwise you would have to transfer the cash before your friend meets the seller.
If you are happy with that then there should be no reason for the seller not to use a bank transfer.
