Lots of us would gladly go back in time and pay more for our first vintage purchases to get something that was in better condition. You will find lower priced examples but the c-case connie with brick bracelet is a very nice package and in excellent condition.

An untouched C-Shape with a linen or grey dial (which, I'd say, are the most sought-after) including the brick bracelet for triple digits does sound slightly optimistic for me, tbh.

Agreed - one can lower expectations to find something more affordable or save up a bit more money for a very nice keeper.

Current market value is still 3 digit tag guys. That’s why I wrote above that only 3 digit offers can have my attention.

Last 3 examples that other members have shared here also was a 3 digit purchase.

I have also asked very knowledgeable members here who helped me in the past with examples I found and their opinion is the same.

Some Prices you see on eBay or Chrono24 are over optimistic .
Prices from dealer’s sites are just insane!

maybe in 1-2 years prices will climb above €/$/£ 1000 for those beautiful omega.

This will stay in my collection so I actually don’t care about future price...

I was searching for a c shape for almost a year.

Except the one that No Mercy posted was in IMO far better condition to the one you got (which is still nice BTW) and has a linen dial which the one you went for didn't. The one you bought was still only just south of $1k. You got a good deal but I doubt you're going to find one like No Mercy posted with a linen dial for less than a grand. You said yourself, you were looking for a year for a pretty common watch.

I was searching for almost a year for a good example at the right price which is below 1k.

Do you like the last example that @Ωemptymywallet posted at the main thread of the model?
Just ask him how much he bought it.
I have more examples to give..

I have no intention at all to turn this thread to a debate so I stop here!
I see all people here as friends sharing the same passion and I am grateful to all of you cause you add knowledge to my passion for watches !

    Peace...;)

I once bought a Seamaster Cosmic for $20. That doesn’t mean tha was the market rate just because I found a bargain. When you get a service (which No Mercy’s piece has just had) you’re well over $1k and I just found your post suggesting he was “not reasonable” as a bit out of order but, as amcclell said, congrats on getting something you like and enjoy.

What makes you believe that “only reasonable” was for No Mercy????

I posted “only reasonable” one month after he posted his piece!
When he posted it I pm him asking if he sells it and what’s the price and it was not for sale! he just posted his watch in my WTB thread!

you keep arguing about price with no reason... or there is a reason? We will see...

I could find even a better price like @Ωemptymywallet and 2-3 more people here payed for.
Also FYI I have no idea where are you located but in my country service is not so expensive like for example US, UK, DE etc as I have realized from people’s replies here..

After it was offered here, I waited a few days out of courtesy to Skipper then asked No Mercy for his price. It was above my budget sadly (damn USD/CDN) as it was a sweet Connie (although I hate those cyclops things;)).

There may be a miscommunication regarding currency values here. There’s a significant difference between £€$1000.

And, if we’re talking CDN, which is the currency (and customs situation) I deal with, that difference is downright huge. Still, I’m optimistic and patient. Not for anything within 3 figures, however. These days, that’s almost delusional. :D
