Hi guys,

I bought these 2 watches together for a special price but I noticed the crowns are different. Can there be a variation of crowns in different times? Appreciate your kind feedback. Cheers.

I am not really familiar with this particular reference, but I believe the crown on the one with a bracelet is a replacement crown. As far as I can tell it is a genuine Omega crown and meant for this case, but slightly different than the original crown. Crowns are often replaced to maintain water resistance. I personally wouldn't worry about it, but if you want you could try to track down a NOS crown.

I believe the bracelet'ed one has an original crown, but the leather one has a replaced crown, that might also be fake

Since these are 1970+ models, I don't think that old design crown is native to that watch

Guys,

Tks for your feedback. I do believe the bracelet one has an original crown.

I just want to confirm if the leather one has a slight chance of a genuine but uncommon crown. It could be a fake or a genuine crown from another model too.

Buying vintage watches really requires patience n knowledge. Long way to go for me 😀

I have to make a decision to replace it or to just let it be.
