Good evening gents,

I just bought this Constellation. It looks good to me. I hope I didn't miss anything. The case may have been polished.

Cheers,

Roger

Take this with a pinch of salt as I鈥檝e never owned a C-cased Connie but the linen dial looks great, case looks sharp with lovely clean facets and the movement seems good!

She's a stunner and those C cased examples came with some very snazzy dial finishes 馃憤

Thank you all. I am relieved to read that there is no issue with this Constellation. I was not sure about the case.

I assume the 26xxx serial number puts it to around 1968/69?

I am sure it will look very nice "in person" with the coin edge bezel and linen dial. I'll post more pictures when I it arrives.

The dial is stunning and definetely factory original. Moy is often out of true in these late 60s connies. Case looks sharp too, the only spot that has seen polishing is IMO the high polish side edge which seems to be a bit thicker than what i usually see.

26xxxxxx puis it to 1968.

I couldn鈥檛 resist and also added a 168.017 with linen dial to my collection. I haven鈥檛 received it yet, but it seems be in decent condition and the price was ok. The photos were not the best though and there is a risk that the actual condition is not as nice as I hope for. Will be interesting to compare the two when I have both in my hands.

Out of the two, I prefer the 168.017 with the flat/ sunburst bezel. Linen dial and bracelet are ofc bonus.

All comes down to case condition with these. Could you post some in-hand pictures once you get them? I think they will both be good, but the caseback on the first one looks a bit soft, and as has been said by @Yomega, the bevel looks a bit wide, which could point towards a re-finish.

Realistically, I am just being over suspicious and they will turn out to be great watches.

Very nice. Would you be willing to share what it cost you?

The photos are too bad to figure out the overall condition of the watch.
I hope it is a good one but you鈥檒l only know this once it is in your hand.

Thanks. I agree with your assessment. If the case was refinished I would at least have one that I can wear without worrying too much about damaging the case. I鈥檒l see when it arrives.

I prefer not, but it was a slightly above medium 3-digit sum.

Very nice. Would you be willing to share what it cost you?

I agree. The bad photo quality was probably the reason why the price remained reasonable (auction). I鈥檒l see when it arrives if taking the risk paid out.
