Can somebody enlightened me, why you want to track the destination of an re issued omega ? And share experiences about backwind clicks and forward winding resistance? Have you ever owned vintage handwinding Omegas ? Everything seems quite normal to me... What did I miss ? Kind regards. Achim

This is an enthusiasts site, no surprise people are going to discuss esoteric things like winding feel, clicks, power reserve, etc for a watch that is a little out of the range of a typical modern Omega. The movement is different from most modern Omegas, too. The numbering/destination thing is because this was orginally introduced as a numbered, limited edition with a set edition run, then changed to a more expansive 'numbered edition' release that is current Omega practice. Owners are curious to see the first ones outside of the original range, none seem to have appeared so far so the natural question is, are they making more or is 2,939 pieces going to be the actual edition size? I find it an interesting question given Omega's new strategy of not confining themselves to a firm number of pieces of any particular watch. Many, many people aren't interested and don't collect vintage watches. I think that is what you are missing.

I have two modern Omegas with manual winding, the CK859 and a 3861 Speedmaster. The winding feel couldn't be more different between them. When I first handled the CK859, it felt very strange to me, as I was used to the 3861.

Anyone ever have the logo pop off the buckle?
Where is it? How it happened? ::facepalm1::

Was just purchased from AD and had them ship it to me and it must have come off while it was in the box. I tried it on there before I bought it and had them ship it to me. It was intact when I tried it on. I thought the buckle was machined as one piece. It looks like Omega did some kind of pressure snap deal on it instead.

What is the response of the AD or the brand? I'm sure they'll be replacing it with a new pin. I'm a careless guy and such a fragile fitting on a beautiful watch is not acceptable. It appears to have come from China supplies.

No issues with AD. They are replacing it. I was just surprised that the buckle with the logo was not one piece, but two.

I'm surprised too but its more about the quality control issue. I hope yours is an exception and all others are perfectly fixed.

Has this watch been discontinued? I noticed it on Fratellos instagram were they reposted someone who said that.

I’m not sure, but it’s supposedly an Omega boutique only, but somehow my AD got two.

Exactly the same for me!
Click sound anticlockwise, no sound clockwise and the more i wind the stiffer it gets. I also get a slight "back rotation" everytime i give a winding turn.
I never felt a stop when winding it, and i made a lot of turns though. A bit afraid of pushing more ^^
I just started a test to see how long the watch lasts
There is indeed a stop, that i reached after 70-80 turns.
Result: 77h

It is me, or is the buckle tang designed in such a way that it isn’t that easy to extract it from the strap hole?

Thanks god, mine didn't have such issue. I was lucky to purchased one with the error print "Limited Edition" xx/2939 numbered edition card.

Mine wasn't easy too at first but you get used to it.

Would any CK 859 re-issue owners be interested in posting their approximate edition number and location just to see where these watches end up? For instance, mine is #24x and is in California.

Just thought it might be interesting to see how many there are and where they go. Cheers!
