Omega CK 859 Re-Issue Owners: Numbered Edition Tracking?

Would any CK 859 re-issue owners be interested in posting their approximate edition number and location just to see where these watches end up? For instance, mine is #24x and is in California.

Just thought it might be interesting to see how many there are and where they go. Cheers!

Interesting will be if any CK859 is popping up with a number >2939. This was the (wrongly) printed LE number on the first watches cards (see other thread, page 4).

Owners here, how is your CK859's power reserve holding up?
I'm winding the watch to full (strong resistance of the crown), been getting at most 34hrs out of the advertised 72hrs.
Understand that PR varies and not asking to get the full 72, however 34hrs for a 2 weeks old watch is alittle low. TIA

I haven鈥檛 worn mine enough to measure power reserve, but have also noticed that there is a strong resistance when winding. And after every turn of the crown, there is quite a bit of snap back (I鈥檓 sure there鈥檚 a better term for it). I try to wind it and leave pressure on the crown so it doesn鈥檛 snap back as much - doesn鈥檛 seem like that鈥檚 a healthy thing, but maybe I鈥檓 wrong.

Are you winding it until the crown physically won't go any further (a hard mechanical stop)? If you are only getting about 50% of the stated power reserve it's likely you aren't winding it fully. You can't rely on a feeling of resistance, you have to go to a full, hard stop. Keep winding.

I'm definitely getting at least 3 days. Perhaps you didn't actually wind the watch fully?

Thank you all for reply. I'll try winding it to a full hard stop, normally with my other watches careful not to over wind the watch and stop when there is resistance. Thanks once again =)

Mine gets 79-82 hrs per full wind. The first full wind and rundown was 80 hrs and only gained 2 seconds..
Hope you get yours fixed or figured out, really nice piece.

I鈥檓 not sure if Omega鈥檚 numbering system will tell us actual quantities made. Are we assuming they started with 001?

I was one of the first in the US to get one. I received the call on April 5th, but couldn鈥檛 pick it up until April 9th. Yet, my piece is 9XX? I saw one in my AD鈥檚 display case last weekend. I should have checks its number.

Even for limited editions, the number distributions were basically random with some exceptions. Tracking the edition numbers on this thread will only assist us with keeping a rough estimate regarding the overall edition size, which thus far seems to be between 2 and 3k.

Watches are usually produced in batches - so the highest number will indicate total production, as Calibre561 said. Numbered editions should start with 1 (as part of the first batch), otherwise where is the difference to a random serial number.
