Omega Civil Service watch

Recently, I've been learning more about vintage Omega's. Currently own a Speedmaster Racing that I love, but thought I'd do some research on the older variety.
I've been intrigued with this particular watch, but only know enough to get me in trouble. Being an avid (world) traveler, I absolutely love the idea of this watch having traveled the world during its lifetime.
Can anyone give me their impressions as far as if anything is incorrect:

That's helpful. Still quite intrigued by it, given it's worldwide travel. Although the price seems a bit high from what that previous post indicated.

I believe the current thinking is that this is not likely to be Civil Services India but more likely Canteen Stores India, a sort of equivalent to a NAAFI. A thread here from MWR

Interesting. I personally would prefer the "Civil" story over "canteen", but either way the watch has seen the world. For some reason, that adds mass appeal for me. I'm a travel aficionado.

Uploading the images here (so when the link dies, the conversation still has value).

The dial is in better condition that a lot of the CS(I) Omega's that I have seen.

The crown has been replaced with a more modern version.

The Canteen Services/Civil Service discussion continues there... and there are no conclusive answers.

I'd be tempted to order an extract of the archives from Omega and see what it says, but... cash.

I love the legibility of the simple sector dial, black on white print, and leaf hands. 😀 My CSI gets a lot of wrist time, here on a black canvas strap:

Hi, yes it did, I suppose as there isn't as yet a convincing answer to be had. West End Watch Co providing information is brilliant but it is only one of quite a few suppliers of the CS(I) watches, it would be great if other manufacturers archives rooted out similar information to get a conclusive body of info.
