Nice rally strap, don't see these often, they just didn't survive.

I really enjoy the size of these. I don't wear mine as much as I used to but I always enjoy when I do!

I'd love to track down one of those deployment clasps some day.

Yes those straps are quite hard to find in good condition being correct for the Chronostop originally. I felt the strap was a bit too feminine (due to the width and lightweight clasp) and managed to sell it for £100. I put it towards the servicing which was a bit more expensive than usual as my watchmaker classed it as a Chronograph.

Good morning, first post on here. I was keeping an eye on this on eBay, it looked lovely! Is it in need of a service?

I have just found myself a nice 146.009 Chronostop, freshly serviced from a reputable watchmaker. It arrives next week. I’ll post a pic up when I receive it. Hopefully it’s as nice as yours!

Regards. Paul.

Its keeping as good time as my new seamaster so very happy. It looks like its just sat in a box as very good condition and original strap. Its only 34mm but wears very well. Ive had one in the past with original mesh bracelet but sold it. To be honest i only bid as it was 1969 which is my birth year

Funny enough my wife is not into watches at all even though I’ve offered to buy her one on many occasions. She always wants to see what I’ve spent my money on and will try them on and look at them but this one she actually thought was nice and said she could wear to work lol

Nice watch @Chef40.

I bought mine new in 1971 and had it serviced and restored a few years ago by Omega Bien. Bracelet, hands and dial are all original and the hands were relumed by Simon Freese.

Hard to find with original strap and elongated buckle without an engraving. One of my all time favorite models.

How is the lume now? That’s the one thing I love about new watches is the lume. There’s a little glow ar 12 o o’clock but that’s it

It’s the only reason I bid for it was the condition. I bought a seamaster gmt 50th anniversary not long ago and was mint, never been worn and the original strap had not even been sized

When I had the watch serviced Omega replaced the original hands (returned to me) but they were slightly different as originals no longer available. This is why I had the original hands relumed and refitted - the original lume had gone black.

I have just checked and the 12 o'clock marker and the hands all have a matching small glow that fades quickly. The lume in the 12 o'clock marker is original so a good match. The lume dot markers around the outside of the dial do not have any glow at all.
