Hi Guys, first post so I would appreciate your input.

I found this Chronstop for sale but realised it could be a re-dial? or a franken? everything else looks correct. Google search pulls up other Chronostops with the same dial layout -Seamaster,Swiss Made etc.

Glass has the omega symbol, movement case back has a watchmakers time stamp 3/22 - looks to have been serviced.

I also emailed Omega Customer Support and they did not say yes or no. They only advised that any servicing would restore the watch to an existing model in their catalog.

I don't understand how this is possible. Unless there is one person doing all these re-dials? Would you purchase this model at a decent/fair price or should I stay away? Thank you.

Yeah. That's a franken. The 145.010 reference is the Genevé driver's style with the crown at 12 o'clock (sort of, if you know what I mean). The standard orientation is reference 145.009. The dial looks legit, but it's from the larger Seamaster Chronostop with a bezel, reference 145.008.

Edited to add: As for whether it's worth buying, most collectors would stay away from frankens like this, but I'm personally not quite as dogmatic. Legit 145.009's go for around $800 USD. If you like the watch, don't mind that it's a bit of a mishmash, and can get it for, say, $500, I'd think that fair. But I suspect most forum members would disagree with me and tell you to run away as fast as possible.
