I am looking for a 1960s Chronostop box, i inherited my fathers watch in 1974 but the box didn't get passed to me, so if anyone can help me find a box it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Andy welcome
How about couple of pictures of your watch?

Here is a great resource for Onega boxes

Boxes were a point of sale addition but if you google Omega Chronostop full set you can see examples pictured and get idea what is period correct. Keep in mind that people often just put a watch in a box that they find later so a photo with watch in a box doesn’t prove it was original pairing. But if you find full set with correct papers it is more likely a match.
And maybe an OF member is original owner of full set
So if you research it a bit you will figure out a period correct box which could be a likely match.
vintage boxes are abundant on EB once you have idea, try to find the box with the inside insert tray that holds the watch many are missing that part
Good luck and share what you find! Feel free to ask questions here about a specific box before you buy

Do you know the date of your watch (movement serial number).

Ok so you can skip the steps to discover which box you want, and just set up EB search and you may get lucky.

The box thread is still a good read. 😀

Looks like 145.009 Geneve version in good condition. Nice heirloom memory of your father.

Here is a review from Ash @dsio, and another article.

They were made from 1966-70 and date can be determined from movement SN if you have inside photo or getting it serviced.
