Hello,

Can anyone tell me the official BPM of the Caliber 286 movement?

I searched online and could not find it. Either that or my google-fu is just not up to par.

I downloaded an application on the app store 'called hairspring' and it uses the phone's microphone to compute how slow or fast your watch is. It has an auto detect feature on it but would prefer to know how much BPM the 286 movement is.

Thank you!

Assuming the watch is not grossly out of spec and the number has to be a factor of 60. There should only be 2-4 options only one option will be remotely close when measuring. Try 28800 bph or 480 BPM as a base then move down in 60 increments.

I will try and see if it can give me a good reading. Thank you Sir!

Thank you for link Sir. I came across a similar one but confused as to which one there is the BPM. Am I correct to assume that 18,000 a/h the same as 18,000 BPM?

BPM and BPH are different. 28800 is BP Hour not BP Minute.

18,000 a/h is BPH or VPH beats or vibration an HOUR depending on how you write it.

a/h alternance par heure = rotation per one minute. 18000a minute would be a rather high frequency.
