·Today I have something special and not so often seen for sale, a lovely Omega Automatic ref 3950 “Cioccolatone” with white waffle dial in steel from the early 1950's. Omega during the early 50’s were really producing some fantastic designs and here’s an opportunity to stand out from the crowd with one of them!
The attractive white dial has a combination of white shield and dagger indices dagger and dauphine hands. It has some patina and aging but looks fantastic on the wrist.
The steel case is in great shape with very strong lugs and a good bezel. 31.5mm x 41mm. These wear substantially larger on the wrist than you’d imagine considering its diameter due to the robust nature of the design. 20mm strap size. Original signed crown. The case back is also in good condition and stamped 3950-2. Signed crystal.
Running an automatic calibre 342 with a serial number of 12.7 million it dates to around 1950 or so. It is winding, setting and running well whilst it hasn’t been serviced in my ownership.
I’m selling this one head only.
€1850 net to me will include worldwide Track & Trace shipping. Payment by bank transfer or Wise for well established forum members only.
