This watch is very special and a historic value to it as it was gifted tobmy granddad by his friend at the time of india Pakistan division. They both were chilhiodhood friends but his friend had to move to karachi and this was given atvthe time he was airlifted by a heli due to communal tension.
So as this peice has that emotional value i would like to restore this masterpiece. But i am unable to find as well as scared to give this to any unauthorized place. SO i request you to please guide me where can i send this watch whuchbwull assure me that it will be restored to it original glory as this is one of the famous if not rare watches from that era.

What kind of restoration are you interested in? Finding a replacement dial will not be easy.

Based on the looks of the case and pie-pan dial, this watch looks to be from around 1960. This is over a decade after the India Pakistan split.

The dial was repainted black at some point and I do not believe the medallion on the case back is original.

A restoration is going to cost more than the value of the watch, assuming you can find the parts.

I wish you much luck with this project.

You’re going to have to at least narrow down what country you’re in. There’s no point people recommending places in the UK if you’re in the US etc
