Retail price of a steel Daytona is $12,400 and they make way more than 2,000 units a year (the projected 321 production limit). The street price for a new Daytona is about double that, about $25,000 +/-. The Speedmaster is not as iconic as a Daytona and has a manual movement which isn't as popular as the Daytona's automatic. But say a steel 321 Speedmaster is really well styled and is a viable choice to the Daytona, I can see the street price approaching $20,000 on the grey market, easily. We'll just have to wait and see what happens but I suspect a lot of frustration from folks who can't seem to score one from an OB or AD at the retail price, "Sorry, just not available except to good customers who have bought a lot from us in the past", the standard line from Rolex dealers. Possibly expect the same from Omega.
