I've not made any profit yet as the little darlings have not paid me yet, even though they posted my watch on their website and sold it within one day for 14,450 euros. But I do intend to keep this one and hopefully I get paid this week as I've had quite a few promises of payment.

Well the money finally landed in my account today and I picked up my 2nd and final 50th Anniversary, stickers removed and without a doubt a keeper.

Yes, very lucky! I've asked at a couple of boutiques but not joy so far, perhaps once the 50th celebrations are over they will be happy to let them go!

Was able to pick mine up last Friday after all. Low 4000 LE number. Thanks to The crew at the San Antonio boutique for another great experience.

Do the watches come off the 'line' in numerical order or is there an element of flex/randomness in it?

I think it will be below retail, there are just too many. There were half as many LE 60th anniversary editions and you can still buy the Seamaster and railmaster new.
Right!

just picked mine up! Torn on whether to part with it since I think my 74 speedy would still be my daily wear

Let鈥檚 get back to the watch itself; it鈥檚 a thing of beauty, with an excellent bracelet and it needs to be worn...

Everything else, including resale value, complementary pens and pins (both there) and packaging are not as relevant as liking the watch itself in the metal and enjoying it.

Perhaps this helps... even a terrible photographer can make this look nice. 馃榾

I think it will be high for some time to come, dealers are paying 拢10,000 for these and selling them for a lot more.

I agree with all of the above but still haven't made or seen a photo which shows it's true beauty in the metal.
