I think that black strap with the gold stitching would look superb.

There is a new video on youtube by London watch collector, unpacking this watch and he shows it on the black and gold nato cork strap you get with this model and it looks amazing.

Yes, it does look really good - surprisingly so as I thought it looked awful before.

Just got mine today ...
I think this is a catch-and-release for me.
I've got a number of other Speedies.
I can't get past my difficulty of reading the small-hands sub-dial hands in most light.
and ... well, sorry Buzz, but ... bit busy for me.

Thanks for sharing the journey with me. I'll leave you guys to enjoy this LE!

I’m starting to get a little fed up of waiting now. I really wish they would sort out production/delivery.

Success is not built on Success.
...
It’s built on failure.
It’s built on frustration.
It is sometimes built on ... catastrophe.

I am waiting too. But your option is clear: wait and see or walk away now.

Understand your view specially on my case I paid a 100% and I am loosing money just by opportunity costs. That is the path many of us chose but frustration is building.

Had an email to say that my 2nd 50th Anniversary has arrived, I should be able to collect it later this week.

Mine SS was delivered on July 19th - so actually exactly 50 years after they were up in space back in 1969 on their way to the moon. Its number is around 1500. I like it a lot and I wear it every day. Only today I discovered a flaw visible with the naked eye on the minute dial: compare the number 2 in „20“ with the 2 in“12“ on the hour dial. I haven‘t decided yet on complaining or not: the flaw makes the watch kind of unique, on the other hand, it IS a flaw.... Anyone else with such printing flaws on the new anniversary watch?

I like that fat 2 !

Could this be the omega version of the flat four 😁

I don’t have that on mine

I don‘t find this „fat“ 2 ugly myself - it has this space age 60ties touch to it.

Did it ever cross your mind to pass and allow someone else on the list to pick it up? You already made a profit on the first one.

Picked up mine recently, not sure whether or not to keep. Will be kept in the box until decision has been made. Did you get a golden astronaut with yours? (Do they have any value?)

I've not made any profit yet as the little darlings have not paid me yet, even though they posted my watch on their website and sold it within one day for 14,450 euros. But I do intend to keep this one and hopefully I get paid this week as I've had quite a few promises of payment.
