I have never paid more than £300 for a watch and fell in love with this watch and did loads of research into Omega and fell in love with the brand. Bought a Seamaster last week as the wait is killing me, it’s been an expensive hobby so far but I have never had the Seamaster of my wrist so far and can’t stop looking at it, sadly no one has commented on it but their loss. See profile picture.

Nice Seamaster!

That’s quite a jump from 300 quid to over 10 grand for 2 watches. However they are both lovely.

Congrats on the seamaster. They are cracking watches. It will tide you over until the speedy arrives no doubt!

Mostly bar staff, which is skilled labour for a Ozzy.😁
Hello keep to watches, stay off cricket and trouble .. you got Italians, Aussies, the ROW( rest of world) slinging at you soon if you trod the way you do. Still have the watch, photo then.

I'm thick skinned enough not to worry about what POM's or Ities might throw at me, but what is "Cricket" you refer to, it's not something I'm familiar being in Scotland and all that.

i got thrown out of TimeZone by a
Moderator just for posting a link to a picture to a watch years ago.. ok bar and watches then and I love scotch .. https://omegaforums.net/attachments/f9b6ba1f-5a75-42ae-8841-aadac714368b-jpeg.806105/

Timezone is very much run and moderated by Americans and the less said about them the better, but far better for them to be getting worked up about who posts what on a watch forum than to be involved in the big decisions in the world.

Americans. Now you have truly crossed the line.

I will be implementing new tarriffs on you.

any thoughts on a leather strap to match the grey dial of SS? I've put in a request at JR Paris to do a bespoke one, they replied based on the watch ref I gave them it was on a steel bracelet so they were not sure and would come back to me after the vacation (strange as that wouldn't hold back the possibility of using a leather strap IMO)
.
On the one hand leather is not suitable for warm weather conditions but on the other hand it is very nice looking. I was thinking of something in the likes of this strap which TH used on their Carrera 1969.

I've already ordered a Nasa strap at GGB but want additional options next to the incredibly comfortable steel bracelet it already comes on.

I think that black strap with the gold stitching would look superb.

There is a new video on youtube by London watch collector, unpacking this watch and he shows it on the black and gold nato cork strap you get with this model and it looks amazing.

I don't really want to use that strap as the GGB will take care of the velcro comfort part. An alligator leather strap may sometimes be the one for the correct occasion.

I think it looks good, but my choice would be the standard all black croc/gator Moonwatch strap, it will be a real touch of class and a perfect example of less is more.

Yes I was going to suggest the same.
