That’s what I like about OF, always something new to learn. Now I’m intrigued; what happens when you turn the crown on your “Flagship” when it’s in the normal position? Does it freewheel, is it blocked?
It's freewheel to say so. These movements can be be wound only through the movement of rotor at back; either unidirectional or bi-directional depending upon the quality of the movement installed in the watch.

I have a 1927 Harwood Self-winding watch, the fore runner of the Omega bumper watch. This doesn't even have a crown so there's no way it can be hand wound.

Movement shot.

How do you set time if it has no crown?

The bezel sets the hands. On the dial is a red spot in a window. When the red spot shows, the watch is in the working phase. Turn the bezel in the direction you want the hands to go and the spot disappears, after you have set the hands, you the rotate the bezel in the opposite direction until the spot shows again. John Harwood developed this method because dust used to enter watches via the winding stem. He hoped to reduce the dust with this method.

perhaps ETA 2824 movement comes to my mind off hand that can't be manually wound...

My Stowa flieger with ETA 2824-2 can be manually wound 👍

My TH Carrera 360 can be wound manually in 2 directions, one for time the other for the power reserve of the stopwatch.

But that's not advisable to do so on regular basis.

Seiko 7S26 automatic movement and perhaps ETA 2824 movement comes to my mind off hand that can't be manually wound...
Sellita 200 is also not advisable to wound manually. There are many others I'm sure.

Both the ETA 2824 and Sellita SW200 can be manually wound. Unless you are excessive in manually winding it, or don't get the watch services regularly, there's no problem with winding either of these.

Have any of you bought off chrono24 before. Just wondering
I bought my Apollo 50th on July 5th and had it in hand on July 10th from Chrono24. It was a very smooth transaction and the sale couldn’t have went smoother. I paid a little more instead of being 40th on the list at the Boca Raton OB.

Well, I was told by the manager of an OB in London that it is most likely fully sold out, with the number of entries on the waiting list well exceeding the number of watches allocated.

Taking that with a grain of salt, though, as people could get on the waiting list without any real commitment. I would just try my luck and request to be added to the list(s).

I myself will be picking up mine in about a week. Excited already! 😀 Best of luck in landing one!
