I’m with @Hands90 — if it was obtainable, I would want it. Plus the submarine arm that wore it down to the bottom.

I’ve put an order in. Apparently i’m first on the list. There’s a LE version due out in Sedna gold too with Spongebob motif. . The box is in the shape of a submarine!!!!!

There isn't much "new technology" in this one though. The only thing that might qualify from what I've read is maybe the Liquidmetal bonding of the crystal, unless that was done by the Liquimetal people and not Omega...

Did get a good chuckle at this one though:

"surprisingly slim and light at less than 28mm"

Describing a watch this thick as "slim" is a stretch...

Slimmer then the challenger deep at 28.5... barely.

I just realized it has no He Valve... no wonder why it looks so good. My question is why would they use the Planet Ocean design as a base instead of the Ploprof?

I imagine that the pressure could make it split in two if the shape isn't just right to compress evenly.

That and the Liquid Metal / crystal bonding tech seem like the two most likely technologies we'll see in future watches.

To me this is the equivalent of "concept" cars from motor manufacturers. Sometimes some or (occasionally) all of the design and tech features of a concept car get folded into more mainstream models. More often they are produced to garner publicity and pique interest.

I might get one.

My Darlin' could use it as a step to reach things in the top shelf of the pantry.

Ok this is a concept watch.
But I'm already dreaming about a new line of products:

Haha I agree. While I like the idea / marketing concept, the watch is unfortunately absolutely unwearable in normal circumstances. This is beyond desk divers' acceptable norms.

Well the deep sh*t I need to face sometimes in the office might justify using one of these 😁

Afaik, PO sells better than modern Ploprof, for sure there will be a regular watch inspired by this Ultra deep beast, so my guess is they just chose the design which can sell better.

Fratello did confirm that "This is not a watch that will be made available to the public in this form" but I would certainly be interested in a thinner version like those renderings by savio.
