I like the dial, cool colours.

This should be the next Bond watch, just think how many gizmos Q could squeeze into that sucker. And if you got hit by it, you’d go down like a log.

Oh, so... the standard Planet Ocean? -_____-

I was referring more to the colour scheme and no date but I get your point!

Omega, stop making PO funs suffer!

If you have that level of engineering, just cut 1.5/2mm height to the current PO line…

I think you’re all missing the point with the thickness criticism. It is obviously not meant to be worn, you get INSIDE it and submerge at 15000 m. It is not a watch, it’s an actual submarine!

The color scheme is pretty nice... reminds me of the Casamigos PO LE

I thought that too. I've just noticed the seconds hand fades from white to blue - nice touch.

Like me they lost it when they moved on from the liquid metal Edition 😉

Am I the only one to really like the strap? It looks awesome IMO

Manta lugs are also a great find. A good looking evolution of the good old fixed bar lugs

I really like the matte titanium and color scheme, hopefully there is a "ultra deep lite" for release to the public.

Disagree. This has been an informal competition between Seiko, Rolex, and Omega for years.

It’s like making the fastest road going car to watch makers. Are they practical? No, they are engineering art. The only difference is this matters to way less people.
Agree with your disagree😀
I am aware of the deep dive tests they've done with Prospex models, but those were products off the shelf. According to my knowledge, Seiko never built a proof-of-concept watch capable of diving in Mariana Trench.

I wonder if that’s the test where the watch stopped due to the crystal pressing down on the hands at depth. Read the end text and it is worded oddly. Implying that the watch didn’t leak but may not have functioned at depth.

Yes I know, wish they would have told that but no info about a performance of the movements after crossing 3,000m, nor any official info why did they stop.
I guess it was due to the crystal - both crystals have cracked approximately 1.5km deeper, although it is not visible on a video.
Seiyajapan made a post about this on his blog - after a descent Seiko did an exhibition with those watches, here is what he reported;

"At 3000m, the back cover starts to give in, but the watch continues working.

The second hand on the 1000m Quartz stopped at 3,284m.
The glass cracked at 4,804m.

The second hand on the 1000m Automatic stopped at 4,299m, and the glass cracked at 5,993m.

There are no images of the cracked glass in this video.

A while after the experiment, I saw the watch that had been used in this experiment on display in a watch shop I happened to stop in at.

The shattered glass and severely dented back cover, which were unpublished in the video, tell the story of the severity of this experiment."

Well, watches have outperformed like three times their official rating and are just the regular models, preowned for less than $2,000 or something, that's pretty damn nice result.

Triple the rating is not a difficult feat to accomplish when it's almost double the thickness of a Sea-Dweller but only rated at 600m with a mineral "Hardlex" crystal

Can I wear my Ultra Deep in the shower?
