Isn't it true that, very often, pieces which were not wanted during its production lifetime end up being highly collectible, due precisely to the fact that lack of demand reduced their production numbers, thus creating in effect a more "rare" piece?
Yes but that is the case with regular production models. This is a LE, limited by definition, so the fun aspect of the story is that it was unwanted at first and now some people are paying 3x retail to get it. Demand has grown a lot in the past few years

I almost think if it didn't have all that actual Alaska "crap" I would have bought one! LOL (Half Joking Don't Get Mad).
Love the white dial...the salesman barely let me see it explaining the bits and pieces.

DUMB question is there anything different about the acutal watch from a normal Speedie other than case back and dial etc?
