Omega 50th Anniversary Announcement.. Update

Like many of you, I put down a deposit for a yet unknown and unseen Speedy that is being produced to commemorate the 50th Anniversary. As of now, there is still no real news to report.

However, my AD said that pictures or perhaps even an actual watch, will be available at Watch Basel at the end of this month, where they will show images of the piece or the actual piece itself.

Shortly thereafter they will announce production and delivery dates.
Thats the word I got, don't shoot the messenger if it turns out to be BS.

No, Baselworld is Baselworld. Swatch Group pulled out of it, as covered in the press last year. Their own show you refer to is different and not open to the public...retailers only.
Yes I can confirm that the owner of my AD is flying to Zurich in hopes of getting at least one.

Maybe we will end up with as many 50th Anniversary threads as there are Speedmaster limited editions.... hard to keep up.

From the rumours I've heard, the Swatch group and Omega are going be holding their own miniature Baselworld of sorts.

"Omega presents (in collaboration with Swatch)... Baselworld 2: Electric Boogaloo" coming March 2019.

Yes, Omega will have their own show this month, don't recall the name
