Hello all,

I'm currently in the market for my first Omega watch to add to my collection.

I came across an Omega Seamaster 300 50th anniversary and immediately got hooked.

The current price is $2360 and I just wanted to see what folks here thought about the watch / price before I make the purchase.
I found it on get bezel listed as the 2234.50.00 but it has the 2534.00.00 bracelet. I know they're very good on their authentication process, so I'm not too worried since it's the bracelet that I prefer.

What do you guys think overall?

Post some pics or further info. The GMT SMP is a great watch. It was available on 2 different bracelets but I don't think the numbers you post are right. Both flavours have dot 50 as the second part as that denotes black dial. Don't get hooked up on the 1998 50th anniversary thing. It's not collectible for that like a Speedmaster might be. All the black GMTs have that back, and they were made over several years. The later white dial was more desirable. I have owned one of these, they are great.

I apologize, I meant Seamaster not Speedmaster. I have posted the pictures below

I know, I owned one! My point was that supposed Limited Edition Speedmasters usually command a premium over a standard model. With the black dial GMT Seamaster this is the standard model. Do you see what I mean? Ignore the 50th Anniversary part, there is not a non 50th GMT model, other than the Great White. It's a great watch other than that, just a bit thicker on the wrist than the standard 3 hand SMP. The lack of the He valve wart is a nice plus too.

I know what you mean. I am currently deciding between this and a Tudor Heritage GMT. I do understand that this is the only GMT black dial seamaster outside the planet ocean, I am a very big fan of the Seamaster dial and I agree the lack of the valve is a bonus

Thank you for your take!
