Welcome to the forum!
What's your wrist size? I have a sneaking suspicion that if you rotated your wrist a bit more towards you in the photo, then I can see that the ends of the lugs will just fit within the outer margins of your wrist. Otherwise, it looks OK to me. Just my two cents...

Pictures are not the end all, be all, judgement for sizing.
I just had a diver that I sold and was pretty shocked how big it looked (lug to lug) in the pics. In fact I opted to only use pics of it off my wrist out of fear the pics on my wrist might scare away potential buyers.
When I wore it, I think it wore a little on the large side, but not as huge as it looked in the pics.

I think yours looks a little big (lug to lug) on your wrist, but still not as bad as the proportions on the diver I sold. So I suspect this one probably looks decent in person.

IMHO, the most important question: How does it feel on your wrist?

Almost 7".....I was at the OB this am...so unfortunately that's all I snapped. It was obviously not sized but it just looked a little large in the photos than in real life

Fair point and tend to agree...its interesting same watch but looks drastically different in both pics in addition too in real life. Posted a response above but just measured my wrist at 7"

With a 7in wrist, I reckon you should be good to go. 👍
Clear for take off!

Great question....honestly this is the first watch that I have worn over a $100...my wife wanted to get me something special for anniversary and well she swung to the fences (not sure if i deserve it ha). I didn't notice the sharpness or pinching some have mentioned with watch/band. I will acknowledge it wasn't sized but even with the links it felt like a natural weight (it will get much lighter as I size it right) looking over it felt a little big but again..I don't wear a watch ever so mabe its a get used too. That being said it feels great.

You can try 1861 as well. They are available and cheaper than this, yet very good watches indeed.

Looks good to me. It is only 47mm lug-to-lug. It fits just fine on wrists smaller than yours.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard that the lug to lug distance of the new 3861 Speedy is slightly shorter than the old 1861. That and the new tapered bracelet should help those like me who have a smaller wrist size.

Yes, shorter by a tiny bit. Less than 1mm, I think. It also sits a little bit closer to the wrist. Overall a more compact appearance.

The 1861 might not be the ticket for OP, if he is concerned about the watch wearing too big for his wrist, since the 1861 is both longer (lug to lug) and thicker than his 3861.

Took me awhile to find these pics on my phone, but I think this is a good illustration how pictures can be misleading about how a watch "wears" on your wrist.

Same watch, same wrist, taken 2 months apart (no significant change in body mass)...for some reason I feel like the case looks as big or bigger than my wrist in the pic on the right. 😕

My wrist is 7” and the 1861 has been absolutely fine for me 👍
