    Hello, I have a few 321 and 861 dials I have some questions about. I'm hoping someone can help me.

    From left to right;

    1. I think is for a 321, and hasn't been refinished? what case reference would this have been used in?

    2. I was told was a refinished dial, for a 321? I don't think it's a Speedmaster dial. But how does someone know it has been refinished? because I don't know how to tell. It was pointed out to me recently that what I thought was an original dial, wasn't, and I'd like to learn how to pick a refinished dial.

    3. I know is from one of the Seamaster 145.016 cases, but were these used with the 321's or just the 861's?

    4. I think is for an 861 case ref.145.029, but I thought they were used in another case reference?

    5. Ties in with thread http://omegaforums.net/threads/opinions-on-my-nos-soccer-please.7851/#post-92886 for the case ref.145.019, and 145.020? This dial I got from someone who bought it about 40 years ago, but never used it. So, I'm sure it's not a modern replacement. DSC07880.JPG DSC07881.JPG DSC07883.JPG DSC07888.JPG

    I believe the answer to which movement is in the feet, 321 dials have noticeably thicker/longer feet than 861 dials.

    I would like to purchase the black and red soccer dial if it is still available. I have a 145.019 that it would fit nicely in. Please let me know if I can purchase.

    Original post was 3 years ago... I guess it's possible he's still around to answer your question, but......

    Good luck, meharwin, try answering any 3 years old sales ad and see how it goes!

    We aren't being smart, we retain all of the old references for educational value and you just happened upon a relic.

    Good luck with your hunt but it would be a miracle if he visits here soon, we haven't seen him in a year or so, even more of a miracle if he would have your dial.

    Funny thing is it isn't even a For Sale ad -- the OP was asking for info...

    You might have to shout a bit louder - the OP last logged on nearly six months ago.

    Sorry Myla, I don't want to sell that particular dial. I believe the white soccer dials are still available/easier to get.

    The info about the size of the dial feet is exactly what I was after, thank you Badwolf and TomGW.

    For what it's worth, most original 1960s 321 dials that I've seen have feet like your #3 dial, with thicker, longer pegs and the wider collar or socket at the back of the dial. However, current 321 replacements haven't the collar at the base and have the narrowed, stepped shaft, the same appearance as 861 dials and most common dial feet from any manufacturer. I assume this step is to facilitate any build up of solder within the diameter of the shaft, thus allowing the dial to fit flat onto the movement. However these still have marginally thicker and longer shafts, in comparison to 861 dials. The length can easily be modified (shortened) and the fractional increase in diameter can be reduced with care, to allow one of the current 321 style dials to be fitted to 861 / 1861 movements - the feet are in the same positions. For this reason I can only say that #3 will fit a 321 only. The others may be 321 fitment, in the style of the current service replacements, but it's impossible to tell from your photo. However, I thought that the 'Soccer' chronos were later models and thus 861 only??

    TomGW, I agree, the soccer dials are 861 only, as far as I know. My dial #3 I wanted to fit to an 861 movement and 861 case, but turns out it's a 321! Just my luck. This also means #1 is possibly an 861 as well, and it's a bit of a mystery as I can't find any reference to it as far as catalogue photos go.
