I bought this last year in the USA, as a NOS piece. I recently saw the watchco soccer on ebay, and it got me wondering if my watch is actually an assembled watch using NOS parts rather than actually NOS. First, I have to say, I am suspicious of any NOS watch presented to me without box and papers, as this one was, so I will not be (financially) disappointed if consensus is that it is. So here it is. And here is the WATCHO watch as presented and sold at the beginning of October 2013. This was offered with somewhat cloudy wording as to weather or not it is an original watch, or an assembly. This is unusual as WATCHCO is usually very quick to declare assembled watches as such. My dial looks old, certainly not new, and the plots are nicely faded. However the hands look new. Most especially the small orange second hand, which is of a slightly different orange to the hands. This indicates to me that it is new, as for some reason the new orange seconds hands available from Omega are a slightly different shade of orange. (See OFREI's site for confirmation of that). A couple more shots of my watch to finish off. I would be grateful for comments from those wiser than me.
I do note that the hands on the WATCHCO watch have no lume, whereas yours does - and also that, on your watch, that hand lume is considerably more 'crisp' than thmateriel lume around the dial. What that all means, I don't know, as I'm generally unfamiliar with this particular watch.
Damn if that doesn't look just like Dennis when he got his VC. OK the Hamster has more hair, but I could swear..............
I'd say more like hungry cats, given the number of small rodents we've been displaying here. It's like waving one of Jim's finest cheesesteaks in front of you. Or me! gatorcpa
