good morning everyone, I open this thread to ask for an opinion regarding the originality and coevity of the watch in the image below. It is (as the announcement says) of an omega 30t2 2384-1. I am a bit perplexed about the position of the swiss made writing, about the originality of the dial, the crown and its correspondence with the movement and the case. Thanks everyone in advance

Thank you all. I can upload other images but they have the chrono24 watermark. is that a problem?

Hmmm, maybe @gatorcpa can take a look at the dial photo and offer an opinion. I see inconsistencies with the number positioning and some repeated numbers vary a little (such as the bottoms of the '5' s). But I understand from past threads that earlier dials could vary a bit.

Dial is the same for US Army watches of both references.

Cool, I didn't know that. In any case, I don't like the printing at all on the OP watch.

Both the Ref. 2179 and 2384 were “off the shelf” cases that Omega mated to specially adjusted movements to quickly fulfill the order from the US Army after D-Day.

Both references exist with many different dials that look nothing like the military-style dials that we see here. They were made before and after WWII. Very popular models even if not issued.

Redial for sure.

Here is one from my collection for comparison:

I'm no expert at all but if you blow up the pic the little lines between 13 and 14 sec aren't exactly straight.

Start by reading the thread. It should be enlightening. I remember that I learned a lot at the time.

Depends what you consider a ( franken )..... Franken is an area in southern Germany with lots of Nature and some amazing and very old Beer Breweries. What you show is a re - dial/repaint/ redone dial. I'm positive, that there are NO Redial workshops in Franken.
