I bought this watch a few years ago and i had it serviced and waterproofed earlier this year. I haven't worn it much since then but i started wearing it a few week ago and i love it more and more. My watch repair woman told me that it was the driest watch she had ever serviced and it was a chore to remove the crud from each part (it had to be done manually). It is now working flawlessly at 0 second a day. I have the original hands but for now i decided on a set of tritium hour and minute hands that are Omega service replacements. I know it is not to everyone's taste but i like the ability to tell the time in low light.

Nice watch. Are you sure the hands are tritium? They look much more like superluminova

My mistake, you are correct they are superluminova modern replacements.

You could get a watchmaker to knock the lume out of the luminova hands and color match them with a tritium substitute material, they鈥檇 look spot on with the dial afterwards and it鈥檚 not too hard to do, a lot of good vintage watchmakers can handle it

was just thinking the same thing, you should be able to get the best of both worlds

The original hands are missing all their lume so they woukd be exellent candidates fir reluming, i just never got around to it and i like the superluminova brightness in the dark and when i use it underwater. A dive watch has to be practical for me.

I love the watch. , but the original hands would be my choice because your dial is perfect
Service hands on a service dial 馃憤
