    We call this the newbie tax watch. Looks good but......

    Movement has been cleaned for looks. Not taken apart and serviced and cleaned properly

    We generally recommend that you spend some time soaking up some knowledge by reading the many threads on this forum before spending your money. Maybe buy a book or two on vintage watches. Don't be afraid to ask questions before you buy, as long as you follow this guide:

    I’m not surprised but it’s a shame people do this stuff like cleaning up the parts of the movement you can see, etc. I wouldn’t mind if they were up front and said what they did but all the misrepresentation I see with watches is a bit depressing. Whenever I sell anything, car, watch and all the stuff my wife sells online I mention anything wrong. I have lost a few sales because of it but I know how crappy it feels to have someone sell you a false bill of goods I refuse to do it to anyone else.
