For sale is a rare original black dial Omega 2849. Recently serviced by the Omega Enthusiast, from whom I bought the watch. See original ad with more pics here:

https://www.omegaenthusiastltd.com/product-page/1956-omega-seamaster-calendar-1

Dial has gorgeous original black factory finish, unspoilt and even patina. No scratches or marks. Crystal new. Very rare to find this without lume - I’ve personally never seen another.

Selling rather reluctantly to free up funds (obviously at quite the loss too given the high prices the Omega Enthusiast asks).

Circa: 1956
Model: Seamaster Calendar
Caliber: 503
Movement serial #: 15229225
Jewel count: 20 jewels
Movement Type: Automatic wind
Case model: 2849-3 SC
Case Material: Solid stainless steel
Case gasket: O-Ring rubber gasket
Crystal: Acrylic New crystal
Crown: Signed
Case Diameter excluding crown: 34.3mm
Case length lug tip to lug tip: 41mm
Dial: Factory original finish
Hand type: Dauphine (original)

This is sold Watch head only - open to discussion on strap if this appeals.

No returns please, unless grossly misrepresented.

I think it is unfair to characterize Omega Enthusiast’s prices as “extortionate.” No one forced you to pay them. You thought it was worth it. Omega Enthusiast is an honest and knowledgeable seller.

What a bizarre and random attack on my sale. Bore off.

I’ll be taking this elsewhere - thanks.
