Omega 2810-SC Check

Hey all, I picked this little thing up on a whim while on holiday, along with a few other watches, in a package deal.

It looked good to my eye at the time, with an Omega crown, Omega glass with the etching visible, honeycomb dial seemed clean, however taking a closer look at home I'm now curious about a few things and I'm wanting to get some extra opinions on it.

Main things that alert me are:

- It looks incredibly sharp overall, which is what wowed me when I first saw it, especially for such an old watch, but it's almost too sharp, which has me suspicious that perhaps it's been refinished somehow. In particular, the finishing on the sides looks lower quality than I'd expect from Omega, however I'm not familiar with these models specifically.

- The minute marker to the right of the 7'oclock has what looks like an extra notch on it, which gives me the impression of redial, however the rest of the dial does not give me this impression, and the Omega lettering looks good to me.

- Not sure if this crown is original to the model, although that's never really a dealbreaker for me anyway.

Basically looking for opinions on the dial, the minute marker near 7, originality (or lack of?), etc.

I have a slight uneasy feeling about it in general.

The spacing of the indices looks a bit uneven, see pic below. Other things that crossed my mind are that these markers are shaped this way for lume plots normally, and that the minute hand looks exceptionally long.

The lettering seems original to me, what do you think?

Agreed on the indices, I noticed that one in particular too. Do you think it's the indices that are incorrect, or that the markers have been reapplied at some point and misaligned?

Overall while researching I began wondering if potentially it's some kind of 'frankenstein'? The case being so sharp is also confusing to me.

Since you already own it, I'd just enjoy it. It might have seen a clean and redial, which has the benefit of it looking so dang sharp. Enjoy how sharp it looks!

Agree on this one about the markers, addition at minute 4. But an overall nice redial nontheless, nothing too out of place.

The more I look at it, the more I wonder: DID this watch actually ship with minute markers? There are so many of them that look 'off' (mixed with Omega and Swiss-Made both looking reasonable), that I wonder if this actually had none from the factory, and someone added more after the fact.
The minute markers show a tell-tail 'pen-applied' instead of pad-printed. You can see quite a few that follow an 'arc' around the bumps, or miss being applied to other parts of the texture.

That said, its an attractive watch all the same, and you probably can't see most of the 'bad' ones from a distance. I, like the others, suggest you just enjoy what is in the end, a beautiful if-not-perfectly-original watch.
