A happy and prosperous year to all my fellow Ω friends.
I just managed to secure this beauty on Catawiki. A ref. 2648 from 1950 with a cal. 352rg in an 18k case.
I am not quite sure about the black second hand, but the lack of a central rivet does make it look original.

Any info about black second hands in vintage Omegas would be highly appreciated!

I've got a 2648 with a hand that in some light looks dark grey/black but in others seems to have a bluish tone. Do you have it in hand yet?

No, it is still on its way. But thanks, Christos, it is nice to see that they indeed used black second hands. And what a stunning example you got there. I can only say DIBS with dibs on 👍

2648, cal 352Rg

Thanks, @skand - I should have thought of my watch also having a cal. 352Rg, it probably means that Ω often used black second hands on these models.

Blued, not black, as noted several times already.

Does this mean that all seemingly black second hands are in fact blued? That would be preferable as there would be no paint degradation,.

Not saying it is but could it be thermally blued?
Yes, as Dan S pointed out, this is highly probable.

Highly likely a dark blue seconds hand which was common for this reference. Here is one of mine with that very same dial in an 18k rose gold case that is NOS with the original strap and hangtag.

Thanks a lot, @MSNWatch - now I know which strap to look for! See PM.
