    Hi Folks:

I know that the Omega 2500D movement is said to be found on serial numbers over 8525XXXX and that the difference in a few numbers in the font of the date wheel can be use as an indication (Other than opening the watch and check the movement markings).

For example, on the number one "1" from the internet: (2500C on left, 2500D on right):

I came across a late 84 million 2209.50 (846895XX) that has a font on the number one somewhat similar to the one on the right above:

Could it be a 2500D ? Or perhaps late 2500C watches used that "similar" date wheel on a transition phase? The serif of the "1" is similar to the one of the computer so definitely not like the one on the left above, which lacks the tip, but not sure if the same as the one in the right.

    Thanks

    I had a 2500C Seamaster 300m.
The serif on number "1" and "11" is different than on "10", "12",..,"18", and so on..
So thats normal for a 2500C.

What was wrong with the 2500C? My 2220.80 i believe is with the 2500C and I've had no issues with it since getting it 8 yrs ago...

Mate, it looks like a regular 2500C.

    Here is "11" at my 81xxx serial/ 2007 watch

I do not have PO with 2500D, but here is "11" at my SMPc with 2500D

the "one" and "eleven" on the C series vs the D series is that the head of the "one"s on the C series is flat whereas on the D series it is pointy sharp.

The date wheel topic was discussed a bit on another thread. Look for the one entitled “The Planet Ocean“.
