Does date wheel font ever differ in same model? Help.

Good evening all,

I'm fairly interested in one of these Constellations. They're the same model, but one has a different font on the date-wheel to all the others I've come across. Everything else from the photos appears kosher as far as I can tell. Does anyone know if Omega might make minor changes like this sometimes?

Thank you in advance, J

This is alarming...I'd be very wary were I you.

Date in first photo is photoshopped.
I don't think it is.. just blown up a lot because the source picture was tiny.

Isn't the dial texture/pattern different? Or is it me?
The pattern is the same, but I fear the colour might be off. The other ones seem to be more dynamic with a more pronounced fade from light to dark at the edges. I think I'll have to pass on this one.. too many anomolies.

Various cameras (and phones) will produce different looking colors, It's not consistent at all. Simply changing devices could exhibit more of a shift than between the two photos above. It's best not to assume any sort of color consistency.

Are you 100% sure those two watches are the same model, the same reference number?
Top, looks like a photo of date-wheel featured in the automatic movement (reference 123.20.38.21.03.001).
Bottom photo looks like a date font which Omega been using in the quartz movements.

Edit: Anyway I found the cited watch on ch24 and it has O8500. Sold in 2017, looks genuine but date font I can not explain.

I don't know about the movement in that specific watch, but on the 2500 the date font changed from the previous to the latest version, so it might be possible. On the last pic it almost seems like the date font has been optimized for the trapezoidal window. Could it be a legit upgrade for the Constellations ? Any idea on the S/N differences of the watches shown in the OP ?

No idea on S/Ns.
Again this one is also very similar to the first '22' one and qite unlike the 27.
I will drop Omega a line and see what happens.

The PO 2201.50.00 date wheel font changed noticably when the movement went from 2500C to 2500D so it does happen. I can't comment on the watch in question specifically though.
