    Thanks for the input. Seems like folks on EBay have really unrealistic expectations in many cases. In other cases many are from other the Japan with no return policy. Not sure how to overcome those things

    If you are finding none in the range you are willing to pay it may suggest that it isn't the seller who is being unrealistic. I should think finding a tidy healthy one for less than £1350/$1700 inc b&p is a tall order. I certainly wouldn't be giving mine away for less if I ever chose to sell. Which I won't.

    Not seeing much around $1700 w b&p. Seems like folks are just letting them sit around 2100-2200, but they're not selling.

    Fair enough, that is over the top dealer pricing I thought you were hoping to pick one up for peanuts but it does sound like you are being sensible. These are a lot less common than the 2254 and crop up less often but if you keep looking you should hopefully find one before too long at around the mark I suggest or hopefully less. Look for eBay auctions rather than BIN as these tend to be more realistically priced but you may have to factor in a service.
