H HuffeI am interested in buying the omega ref 2220.80, in the endless search for the perfect one I have seen that the “knob” on the bezel seems to be different from watch to watch. On some of them the “knob” points out and on some its level with the bezel. Does anyone know why?
On the 2220.80 and earlier Seamaster Pro models, the bezel is only available as a complete assembly with the outer metal part of the bezel too, you can’t buy just the aluminium bezel insert alone. That combined with the high rate that they get scratched and scuffed means a lot of sellers don’t buy the expensive full Omega replacement and just buy a $20 aftermarket replacement instead. Those aftermarket bezels have some color and style variation in bezel pip, the original has a raised metal ring with a lower lume plot inside of it.

H HuffeSo the original is the one with a raised bezel pip and not the one with a flat bezel pip if I understand correctly?
The one I described with the raised metal ring and recessed lume plot is the original, the lume pipe poking out and being raised is not correct for this bezel.
This video is of the black version of the same reference, so the bezel in this video is the exact luminous dot a 2220.80 should have
