Another nice Omega I’m lucky to own is this Omega 2179-6, screw back, all steel case with a unique dial design and the classy 30T2 movement inside!

Sorry I have only one pic, more will come tomorrow

Hope you like it!

Never seen one of these with the "Fab. Suisse" on the dial. Marks it as a French market piece. There will likely be a similar engraving on the movement.

That's a exceptionally nice dial for this reference. These tend to have a lot of radiation damage from the radium. Sometimes these can be multiple shades of orange.

Hi Giuseppe, nice to see you here too. 😀 Lovely 2179, and the only one I've seen so far with the Fab Suisse on the dial!

Fab. Suisse means that it's a watch imported in the French market (at the time, all international goods had to be marked in a visible manner)

This is not that uncommon but hard to find with a pristine dial. I found this one about 8 years ago and don't recall seeing a nicer example before or since. Maybe something similar has popped up in the last 2-3 years during which I wasn't looking as closely but I suspect not.

You didn't and you won't.

I knew of one of these that sold with almost perfect dial many years ago.

For all I know, this is a redial. You can see the quality of the photo.

I think yours is the best we will ever see.
