Does anybody else not give a rat's a$$ about the numbers??
When I got my ST I didn't even look at the number until a friend of mine asked me which number I got... Only then I bothered to look...

I am waiting for the set + one loose Speedy. Don't care what number they are..
When I put the deposit down for the Speedy, I told the AD that I didn't care about any specific numbers. I just wanted one - just one.

3557 is not a low Limited Edition number for an Omega.I will be very surprised if any of the Trilogy increase in value over their RRP.

I wouldn't be too quick to come to that conclusion. The Apollo 11 35th Anniversary Speedmaster was released in 2004 with a limited run of 3500 at a list price of $3195. After correcting for inflation, it sells today for well above that. I would suggest that while the 3569.31 has a beautiful and ever-popular panda configuration, it is a vastly less important watch than the 60th Anniversary Speedmaster, so it is quite likely the 2915 re-edition may increase in value over time. I cannot, however, say anything about the other two watches in the trilogy.

Awwww. Come on! Throw us a bone! I suspect we will know once the pieces all arrive. If they sell quickly - and they might - I would think they will at least hold their value.

I didn't really care that much when I ordered, but they mentioned the option of requesting certain numbers, so I thought I would go for it. Now that I didn't get my "lucky number"....I don't give a rat's tushy about it. If anything, it'll make it easier for me to sell some day if I should decide to do so....

the Speedy will most certainly command a premium above list. the SM/RM, not so much. they are already available online below US MSRP.

Wow! Those are really low numbers! Fascinating how they distribute these...I seriously want to make a DIY Trilogy set! We need a registry!

I started to set one up. If anyone wants to add or claim their number just have to send me some proof of ownership and ill add it to the list.

There are also examples selling at above retail, so I think it could be premature to make a judgment one way or the other. I don't think anyone knows definitively whether the Speedmaster '57 LE's are fully subscribed either; the difference there, of course, being that Speedies have so many fanatical devotees that they will surely get scooped up fastest.

With the SM and RM, I'm guessing that the average retailer may have access to only a handful of units and once they're gone, there ain't no more. So, I won't go out and say you're wrong, but I do have a less pessimistic view on these items' potential value. If, however, the few units that retailers get languish for months in display cases, I'll owe you a beer!

Great thread! Amazing re-issue! I'm all in for a Seamaster 300 personally! 😁
Any one here make any 1957 trilogy reservations/purchases from Amsterdam yet? Can anyone shed some light on availability there?

I was in S&C Utrecht yesterday as they had the Railmaster in the window, whilst trying it on I had a good chat with the sales guy who said all their ( S&C NL) allocation of Speedmaster's and 300's were pre-ordered and never made the window, supposedly the RM I was looking at was also their last one and I should make up my mind quickly as it wouldn't be there for long 🙄

Regarding the trio set IIRC NL received 4 sets, of which 2 were for S&C, also all sold.

I liked the RM but I'm a vintage lover at heart and whilst I thought it a nicely constructed and good looking piece it didn't get my heart strings going at all.

I also tried on a couple of cool white gold Breguet's, a 7727 manual wind chronometer running at 10hz and with magnetic pivots which results in a 'floating' balance system which was pretty impressive and a ref 7097 Tradition automatic with retrograde seconds, which I prefered always having had a soft spot for the Tradition's. The prices were pretty eye watering though with the 7727 just over €38K and the 7097 coming in at €33.5K 😲

YES, of course 19mm and it's the caramel brown...there's also a camel brown that's a bit lighter still...lets see what color strap i'll het with my Railmaster.

So If given a chance to pick one of the 3 which would be the best one to buy? In terms of value retention and appreciation.

You should always pick the one that talks to you. Chasing watches for an investment is a pretty thankless task. And sucks any enjoyment out of something that should be fun.

Fair play on that voice 😀 - and apologies for sounding so earnest... Odds on the speedmaster. But on the strength of the recent photos I think that the Seamaster could be a playing a good long game.
